Colour
Once again the colour scheme is very simplistic with the classic red and white being the predominant colours. Red and white are very popular colours in magazines and the white is very simple and the red is very bold and stands out. The grey is used to create an eerie effect and makes you want to read further into the magazine to find out wants happening.
Layout
Different to NME the layout is quite complex and doesnt follow the usual conventions of a magazine withe page numbers being displayed on the right. Although more complex it is also very easy to navigate round and it allows people to find which page they want without trouble and with the grey background the red page numbers stick out well.
Photograph
This photo is the main feature on this contents page and takes up the whole page. The artist is looking straight at you, this is called direct address, This makes you think that he is making you buy it. Also the clothes he is wearing are very stereotypical of a 'Rock star' which fits in which the genre of the magazine. The white t-shirt sticks out against the grey background and makes him pop out and seem more realistic.
