Colour Scheme
This is a contents page from a magazine called 'NME' as you can see the colour scheme for this page is Red, White and Black which is the NME's stereotypical colours. I believe that they have used these colours and black and white are a nice contrast and connote a calm, professional magazine, The red is then added to show danger to show that the magazine is not just serious. Also the advert for the subscription is in a completely different colour this is to make it stand out as they want more people to subscribe.
Layout
The layout of this contents page is quite simplistic, It has a picture and the logo in the left third so its easily recognizable, It is in a simplistic manner to allow pretty to see and navigate themselves round the magazine easily. It has the page number down the side so people can see where certain sections in which they want to read are without having to shift though the whole magazine.
Photography
There is only one photograph on the whole of the contents page and has a focus pull on Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys) Front man away from the drummer and is taken and a low angle so we are looking up to him to show that he has power and authority
